Home to a growing number of independent bars, food outlets, businesses and entertainment, Folkestone's Harbour Arm is one of the area's most popular destinations and is definitely the place to be.

Once a key transport hub linking Folkestone and mainland Europe, the arm reopened to the public in 2014 and has been re-imagined as a public pier, quickly becoming established as a favourite food, drink and entertainment destination.

The former railway station and ferry terminal have been comprehensively and imaginatively restored to reflect the heritage of the site, including its role as an embarkation point for millions of soldiers in WW1.

The Harbour Arm offers unrivalled views of the fishing harbour and the wider coastline, including the famous White Cliffs, and opportunities to take in the invigorating sea air. Local businesses have become well established along the pier offering choices from gourmet coffee, to Greek mezze and hand-stretched sourdough pizzas. And the elegant Champagne bar at the pier's peak is the perfect place to people watch.

You can also play mini golf, laze on the beach or browse the mini marketplace for one of a kind products from local traders.

Regular live music features bands and musicians from Kent and there are seasonal special events at intervals throughout the year.
